Welding may be a skilled trade and a lot of people have taken welding up as their profession but plenty of people also just like welding for fun. Welding projects can be great practice for those interested in the skill whether it be for professional reasons or just as a hobby. Here are some projects anyone can do.

Outdoor fire pits are a great thing to have on summer nights or in the crisp fall weather. This project takes little skill and will be a great addition to your backyard. You can use steel sheets, rods, and a plasma cutter for this project and it will help with your knowledge of MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.

Make a storage rack if you enjoy MIG welding. This project requires some skill and space but once completed you can use it anywhere you need some extra storage like the garage and get in some practice!

Make a wine bottle holder out of some thick chain, an empty wine bottle, and your welding equipment. You can make this using your ARC and TIG welding supplies and skills and create a fun piece of art for a friend or family member.

Create a garden trellis for your vines and other climbing plants using MIG, TIG, or ARC welding tools. Choosing your design will determine which method you should use but this is a fun and also very practical project for people who enjoy gardening or for someone you know who does!

Using the skills you already have to practice with little projects around the house will help to improve your skills every day.
